I thought we agreed that you wouldn't disappear anything else of value until you learned to get them back. So, I guess you were showing off for the girls last weekend when you disappeared my measuring tape and my calculator. Am I right so far? "Yes". Do not disappear anything else until you learn to get it back. Also, I want you get my stuff back, as I need it - ok? "yes sir". |

Several days later-

Alright! You got them back. How did you do it? "Dr Alleygo helped me and it took a lot of work". "The only thing is, I never know where they will be when they come back". So, are going to continue your magic? "yes, it is fun". Well, how about you just disappear your own stuff and leave mine alone? "That sounds like a good plan".

More days later -
I see you're about to give me another demonstration of your magic. "Yes, I'm going to disappear me"!! Do you think that is a good idea, you could get lost like my buckeye did. "I think I have it figured out now." Are you going to go POOF? "No, I will disappear slowly". Ok, lets see your demo. |

Here we go - I can see you have disappeared a little bit.

You're getting transparent now

Wow, you're gone! How does it feel? I SAID, how does it feel? Al, are you there? Oh me, I wonder where he is. What will we do if he got lost and can't come back? |
Well, it's 4 hours later and no Alphonse. I'm getting worried. Also, it is getting hot in here. Guess I'll turn on the ceiling fan. I did, and -- WHOMP! What in the world was that? Something hit the wall just above the bookcase. WOW, I do believe it was Alphonse.

I can see him a bit better now, and he looks a bit worse for wear.

Boy does he have a couple of shiners (black eyes).

I think he is out cold. At least he isn't moving.

Hey dude - wake up. "Where am I"? You're home. "Where is that - what happened". Well, you just returned from a magic trick where you disappeared. "I Don't think I want to do that again". Who gave you the black eyes? "I don't know, but I think it happened when I hit the wall". You must have been resting on the ceiling fan when I turned it on. How did you get up there? "I guess - I don't remember". Well, what will your next trick be? "I am through with magic - forever". That sounds like a great idea.

He is coming back to life now. The black eyes are worse, and he had a bump on his head we had to bandage. He will be ok in a day or two.
And so ends Alphonse's career in the world of magic. I guess the only thing we lost was the buckeye. I'm glad we are moving on to other things. |
